​Scope and Content

Aerial map photographs of the City of Dallas, Texas, made at 1”-500’ scale. The images were made by Dallas Aerial Surveys, Inc. and Barnes Aerial Surveys for the City of Dallas Public Works Department for use in planning, mapping, and surveying.

The collection consists of 

• 73 9x9-inch black and white photographic prints 

• 200 4x5-inch black and white photographic negatives (approximately)

Other sets of photographic aerial maps are available for use in both the Texas/Dallas History Collection and Archives [Dallas Public Library] and the City of Dallas Survey Division of the Public Works Department.

Organization

Two primary series, photographic prints and photographic negatives, arranged by year and series number within each year.

Access​

Permission to publish, reproduce, distribute, or use by any and all other current or future developed methods or procedures must be obtained in writing from the Dallas Municipal Archives. All rights are reserved and retained regardless of current or future development or laws that may apply ​to fair use standards.
