​Scope and Content

Collection contains plans for the development of the medians on Oak Cliff Boulevard.

The Oak Cliff Boulevard Paving Plat shows the dimensions for paving between Tenth Street and Winters Street.  In addition to the technical data, the plat also shows the names of property owners along this stretch of Oak Cliff Boulevard.

The Planting Plan for Oak Cliff Boulevard shows the landscaping design of the median for Oak Cliff Boulevard between Tenth Street and Burlington Boulevard.  Plants include Glossy Abelia (abelia grandiflora), fragrant honeysuckle (Lonicera fragrantissima), and Polyantha roses.

The plan of Proposed Water System for Oak Cliff Boulevard, between Tenth Street and Burlington Boulevard, shows the location of city water pipes, valves, and meters.

While street design and construction is largely the responsibility of the Mobility and Street Service Department, the Dallas Park and Recreation Department has provided landscaping design and maintenance for large medians throughout the city for nearly 100 years.
