​Senior Auditor

Shino Knowles joined the Office of the City Auditor in October 2017. She conducts performance audits and attestation engagements.

Prior to joining the City of Dallas, Ms. Knowles served as a Senior Associate in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In this capacity, she served both public and non-public clients, mainly in the Asset Management and Banking sectors. She helped plan, budget, and coordinate audit engagements, perform risk assessments, develop audit strategies, conduct management interviews, review critical business practices, and prepare financial statements for GAAP basis audits. Prior to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, she served as an Experienced Associate in Ernst & Young LLP's Assurance practice, specifically in the Japanese Business Service sector. She served the U.S. subsidiaries of large public entities in Japan, assisting with detail audit testing procedures and testing the design, implementation and effectiveness of Internal Controls under J-SOX.

Ms. Knowles earned a Master's in Accounting from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is currently a Texas Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
