Zachary D. Goebel joined the Office of the City Auditor in February 2022.  He conducts a variety of performance audits and attestation engagements in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and other professional standards, as well as provide administrative support for council activities and records with Ms. Monica Anderson.  Mr. Goebel enjoys auditing because there are always ways to improve the services that the City of Dallas provides to its' citizens.

Prior to joining the Auditor's Office, Mr. Goebel worked for Equipment and Fleet Management's Management System Team.  There he conducted performance and compliance audits to the latest ISO:9001, 14001, and 45001. Prior to his time with the City of Dallas, Mr. Goebel work for the Department of Homeland Security USCIS as a federal contractor handling visas.

Mr. Goebel received his Bachelor's in Political Science from Texas A&M University, College Station. Mr. Goebel is member of the following professional organizations: Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA), and the Association of Airport Internal Auditors.
