What is a Short-Term Rental?
Short-term rental (STR) is defined as a full or partial rentable unit containing one or more kitchens, one or more bathrooms, and/or one or more bedrooms that is rented to occupants for fewer than 30 consecutive days or one month, whichever is less, per rental period.
Code & Ordinances
A code amendment was initiated by City Plan Commission (CPC) at the December 2, 2021 meeting. CPC authorized a hearing to consider specifically define a new use, "Short-term rental lodging" within the Lodging Uses sections of Chapter 51 and 51A, as well as related regulations.
