​​​​​Show Cause, Adjudication, Capias, Juvenile & Civil Citation Virtual Hearings

Only Show Cause, Adjudication, Capias, Juvenile, and Civil Citations are allowed as virtual hearings. If you have requested a Pre-Trial, Bench, or Jury Trial, you must appear in person at the Court.​​ The City of Dallas Municipal Court encourages you to attend virtually via a video conference using Microsoft Teams, either on your computer or wireless device, if you have one of the allowed hearings.​

You must appear in person if you requested a Pre-Trial, Bench, or Jury Trial. Check your citation(s) status here. 

​Requirements for a Virtual Hearing​:  

  • Must have a valid email address and be able to scan or email paperwork and/or documents.​
  • A device with access to a fast and stable internet connection (PC, MAC, Smartphone, Tablet, etc.)​.
  • The Microsoft Teams App must be downloaded to your smartphone or tablet. *You do not need to create an account*
  • A webcam or a built-in camera on your device that will allow the Judge to see you during the virtual hearing.
  • The device must have a connected microphone that allows you to talk to the Judge and hear what the Judge says to you.
  • Acceptable form of identification (Social security cards and selfies (pictures) are NOT valid forms of identification).

To Access the Scheduled Hearing​:

  • You can only access a virtual hearing if you have an approved court hearing.
  • If you are using a computer, you do not have to download or install Microsoft Teams. You can continue as a guest.
  • If you are using a phone, you must download the Microsoft Teams App before the hearing​. 
  • 5 MINUTES before the hearing, click on the link below to the courtroom that you are assigned to. Use your first and Last name to enter the hearing.​ ​
​**ALERT** You will enter a Virtual Lobby and be admitted into t​he courtroom once the Court is ready to hear your case. Waiting times will vary. If you are disconnected from the Virtual Lobby, please use the RE-JOIN button to log back in.​ **If you have requested a Pre-Trial, Bench, or Jury Trial, you must appear in person at the Court​.** 

To review Citation(s), Status, or Balances. Example: (C12345678​ Do not enter the dash). If the citation(s) are in Warrants, they will appear in red.​

All Virtual Hearings are live. To meet the open court requirement, members of the public can view the hearings at the Dallas Municipal Court Building. Please follow the same rules of decorum and Dress Code as if you are appearing in person before the court.​
