Recovery Efforts

City of Dallas residents and business owners who sustained February Winter storm damage may apply for assistance by registering at: www.disasterassistance.gov or calling 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585.

Water Distribution

Bottled Water Distribution at the Rec Centers ended March 3. However, bulk water fill up will still be available at the list of Rec Center locations during normal business hours.

Resources located throughout Dallas are listed below in the map.

311

Please use the OurDallas App (Apple | Android) or 311 website to report issues related to animal welfare or Code Compliance concerns. For urgent water issues, please call 311.

Dallas Water Utilities (DWU)
Dallas is not and has not been under a boil water alert and Dallas residents do not need to boil water.  Water main breaks, leaks, and burst pipes may result in service interruptions to DWU customers while repairs are made. The Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) system remains safe, stable and functioning. Water quality continues to meet or exceed regulatory standards. DWU customers may call 311  for urgent water issues.

As leaks and breaks are repaired, water demands are reducing, indicating progress with Dallas’ overall water delivery system and loss management. Dallas’ Water Delivery team continues to monitor and address the ever-changing challenges that arise throughout the piping network. For additional DWU winter weather updates visit  DWU's Facebook.

City Services Updates

Sanitation

Regular service re-started on Monday, Feb. 22, following the normal collection schedule. Please place your roll carts at your usual collection point on your designated day and leave them there until they are collected. We anticipate higher than usual volumes this week, so there may be multiple trucks in your neighborhood as we work to catch up. The "close the lid" policy is suspended next week. If you have an extra bag of garbage, place it in the cart even if the lid won't close. If you have more, you may place up two additional bags of garbage beside the cart. No recycling material is allowed outside the blue cart.

Brush and Bulky Trash collection is also impacted. Follow your normal set out schedule, but expect collection delays.

Thanks for your patience as we work to catch up! We will continue to provide regular updates on the Sanitation website.

Dallas Municipal Court

Dallas Municipal Court appearances were rescheduled due to inclement weather.  Persons will be notified by mail within two weeks with a new court date. If they do not receive a new court date, they may call Courts at (214) 670-0109  or visit http://courts.dallascityhall.com and click on Citation Search to view their new court date.
