Inspection Services is responsible for ensuring new construction meets all applicable City Codes and regulations.

Effective June 1, 2026:
Effective immediately, the following inspections must be requested together for the same day:

Residential Plumbing

Plumbing Rough Below Floor Level inside foundation inspection

Plumbing Rough Below Grade outside foundation inspection

Residential/Multifamily

Plumbing Top Out/Rough Above Floor/Shower Pan inspection

Mechanical Rough Above Floor Level inspection

Residential/Commercial Plumbing & Mechanical – Final Inspections

Plumbing Final/Customer Service inspections

Mechanical Final inspections

Please ensure that these inspections are requested together and scheduled for the same day. This change will help us reduce the number of stops and make the most efficient use of our inspectors' time.

This requirement is being implemented to improve inspection efficiency and reduce duplicate site visits. Coordination of these inspections will help ensure timely service.

Inspections involves inspecting work-in-progress in the field for conformity with approved plans and the following codes: Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Signs, Fire and Fire Sprinkler, and Energy Codes. Safety is the primary function of the inspectors.

New construction is typically checked several times during various phases of construction to ensure construction is proceeding according to Code.

320 E. Jefferson and all District Offices) will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28th.
