 Summer 2026 Special Events:

North Texas will be home to several World Cup matches​ and related events during the summer of 2026. In the city of Dallas, main events will focus on Downtown Dallas and the area around Fair Park, though periodic closures may be necessary for other related activities.

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Projects:

Interstate 30 Canyon Improvement Project

Work is under way on this $888 million revamp of Interstate 30 between the interchanges with Interstates 35 and 45 in downtown Dallas.

S.M. Wright Phase II Project

​This $79 million project is anticipated for completion in 2026.

635 East Project

This $1.74 billion project began in Spring 2020 along 11 miles of I-635 between U.S. 75 and Interstate 30. Completion is anticipated in 2026.
