Introduction

Webb Chapel Road and Lombardy Lane have been designated as priority roads within the city’s High Injury Network (HIN)-- the 7 percent of Dallas roads that account for 62 percent of the city's fatal and severe injury crashes.

The City of Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works is conducting a corridor study along Webb Chapel and Lombardy between Harry Hines Boulevard and Shorecrest Drive to evaluate potential safety improvement options -- including options that would reconfigure the roadway.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Before finalizing any safety improvements, TPW needs community feedback.

A public meeting was held on March 4, 2025, to review short- and long-term improvement options from this corridor study. View the public meeting presentation:

Other Improvements

While the City works on long term plans for the future of Webb Chapel and Lombardy Lane, there also are near-term safety improvements.

Crosswalks along Webb Chapel from Lombardy Lane to Shorecrest Drive are scheduled to be restriped during fiscal year 2025. Another scheduled project will refresh pavement markings along the same section of Webb Chapel. The City recently converted streetlights along the corridor to LED.
