Forest and Habitat Management provides technical expertise for creeks, wetlands, floodway management areas, the Great Trinity Forest and all other natural areas. They also provide thousands of trees to residents through the Branch Out Dallas annual event.

Park and Recreation

The Park & Recreation (PKR) forestry team is not only maintaining trees in our parks, but adding hundreds of trees through the Branching Out tree planting program every year.

Planning and Development Department

The Land Management Arborists are a team of degreed professionals responsible for enforcing the Article X ordinance.

Transportation and Public Works

The MOWmentum Program is a joint effort between our city government and residents. The purpose of the program is to keep rights-of-way and neighborhoods clean and beautiful. Sponsors can include homeowners associations, businesses and individuals.

Dallas Fire-Rescue

With 26 trained deployable Wildland Firefighters and the Community Wildfire Protection Plan in place, Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) is ready to defend our natural areas, residents and businesses. They also deploy to assist other communities and states.

Code Compliance

Keep Dallas Beautiful (KDB) focuses on three main pillars of our affiliates with Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful: litter prevention, recycling and beautification. Through Code's initiatives and renewed focus, KDB aims to engage residents.
