Plea Information:

Only the person who received the citation may enter a plea. Pleas may be made online, by phone, mail, a select retail store, and in-person.

Authorized Pleas are:

Guilty:

Guilty Plea – A plea by which a defendant confesses to the crime with which the defendant is charged or the verdict by which a defendant is convicted.

No Contest:

A plea in which the defendant does not contest the charge. Nolo contendere has the same legal effect as a guilty plea; however, it may not be used against the defendant as an admission of guilt in a civil suit based upon or growing out of the act upon which the criminal prosecution is based.

Not Guilty:

Not Guilty Plea – A plea in which the defendant denies guilt in a criminal case and contests the charge. You will be set for a pre-trial hearing when you enter a plea of not guilty to a charge.

Hire an Attorney:

You will need to decide whether to retain an attorney to represent you or represent yourself at Court. An attorney is not required to handle a citation, but it is an option.

If you have hired an attorney to represent your case(s), the Court will communicate all matters through the attorney. Contact the attorney's office for advisement or status of your citation(s).
