Christmas Tree Recycling Program

Dallas residents may drop off undecorated, natural Christmas trees at the McCommas Bluff Landfill or at one of the City of Dallas Transfer Stations from December 26, 2024, through February 3, 2025. Please ensure all decorations, tinsel, and lights are removed. Do not bag or wrap your tree.

Guidelines

  • Trees must be real and undecorated (no lights, tinsel, or ornaments).
  • Trees with fake snow (flocked or frosted) will NOT be accepted.
  • Trees that meet guidelines are accepted for free and will be mulched for reuse.
  • Trees not eligible for recycling will be disposed of as general waste.

Other Disposal Options

Place trees out during your monthly brush and bulky set-out period (trees will not be recycled).
