Page Content
The Dallas Department of Transportation (DDOT) is studying the West Clarendon Drive corridor between South Westmoreland Road and South Tyler Street.

DDOT will evaluate all forms of transportation including walking, bicycling, transit, and motor vehicles, as well as safety issues and access management. The goal of the West Clarendon Drive Corridor Study is to create a cohesive plan for the entire corridor that guides future transportation improvement projects and funding.

The study is intended to advance the transportation recommendations in the West Oak Cliff Area Plan and the Dallas Bike Plan.

Project Scope

The West Clarendon Drive study includes two segments:

(1) West Clarendon Drive between South Tyler Street and Hampton Road
(2) West Clarendon Drive between Hampton Road and South Westmoreland Road

The project has three main goals: (1) an assessment of existing conditions; (2) an analysis of alternative designs for the corridor; and (3) the presentation of a recommended design alternative.
