The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works and the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) are studying pedestrian, cyclist, vehicular, and public transit links along corridors throughout the Oak Farms area of northern Oak Cliff in central Dallas.

Project Scope

This study area includes a region roughly bounded by Beckley Avenue, Zang Boulevard, West 12th Street, East Clarendon Drive, the Trinity River, Cadiz Street, Lamar Street, and West Commerce Street. (View map)

The purpose of the TPW portion of the study is to study thoroughfares, to evaluate the feasibility of a DART streetcar extension, and to recommend projects to make the area safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

The NCTCOG portion of the study will analyze the Houston Street and Jefferson Street viaducts and the best bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular options for the bridges.
