Where Does It Go

The Campaign

It goes with the flow. Keep it Clean. This year the City of Dallas Stormwater Management has launched a mass media campaign to educate the public on the fact that over 90,000 storm drains in Dallas carry stormwater and everything in it, directly into your nearest creek, river or lake. Running though Fall 2005 and using general market and Spanish-language radio, print, and outdoor advertising, the campaign targets residents and businesses who, while often unaware of their polluting behaviors, are willing to change if given solutions.

The campaign focuses on facts surrounding household products [used motor oil, liquid soap, herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers] that are common pollutants, as well as the simple, daily actions residents can take to help prevent stormwater pollution.
