In early 2021, the City of Dallas embarked on an inclusive process to update our citywide future land use vision as adopted in the 2006 forwardDallas! Comprehensive plan. Learn more about this update at www.dallascityhall.com/ForwardDallas.

forwardDallas! is Dallas' citywide comprehensive plan. It is the first of a kind city-led, citywide comprehensive plan. Driven by direct citizen involvement, forwardDallas! envisions the Dallas residents want to live and do business. Dallas City Council adopted forwardDallas! Comprehensive Plan June 2006.

The full forwardDallas components, provided below, include the Vision Documents, Policy Plan Documents, Implementation Plan Documents, Action Plans, Monitoring Plan Documents, Appendix, Public Involvement and Related Adopted Plans.
Amendments have been made to the forwardDallas! Comprehensive Plan since the original adoptions.
