Experience 

Joyce Williams as Director of the Small Business Center for the City of Dallas. The SBC was established as a single resource for small businesses and entrepreneurs located in the City of Dallas. The SBC is also strategically designed to be a catalyst to support the workforce eco-system in Dallas, through growth and business diversity initiatives serving minority owned, women owned, disabled owned, and veteran owned businesses.

Ms. Williams served as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Workforce and Community Initiatives for the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) prior to coming to the City of Dallas. Her leadership positions the over 24 years included community engagement, workforce, education, and business strategies.

Education

She received a baccalaureate degree in Sociology from Mississippi Valley State University, received her Master's in Education from Delta State University and post -graduate studies at University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), University of North Texas, and Women Leadership training at Harvard University.

Awards & Recognitions

She was recognized as one of Top 25 Women of Dallas by the Steele Society, Who's Who in Black Dallas, and holds the honor as one of the Minority Business Leaders in 2015, awarded the Walker's Legacy Power Award in 2018, and honored by the Dallas Business Journal as one of 30 Business Women of the Year for 2018. She is proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
