Brian Thompson began his career with the City of Dallas in 2016 as a Facilities District Manager in the Equipment & Building Services Department and has since served in several key leadership roles, including assignments within the Department of Aviation, before returning to Facilities Management. With more than 20 years of executive and senior operational leadership experience, Brian brings extensive expertise in municipal and airport facilities management, operations, safety, and maintenance.

Prior to his appointment as Interim Director, Brian served as Assistant Director of Facility Maintenance & Operations, where he oversaw the repair and maintenance of more than 500 facilities within the City's general fund portfolio. His professional background includes extensive experience in operations management, emergency management, occupational and environmental health and safety, and facility services within government administration.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from St. Cloud State University and has been an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) through the American Association of Airport Executives since 2014.
