As the chief human resources officer for the City of Dallas, Nina Arias oversees all aspects of human resource management, including benefits, compensation, HR Information Systems, employee relations, personnel policies, and HR operations for over 13,000 employees.

Nina has over 20 years of strategic Human Resources management experience in various industries, including government agencies, non-profits, and the private sector. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Marketing from the Central University of Colombia, holds certifications in Conflict Resolution and Change Management, and has designations as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). 

Her professional affiliations include The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), World-at-Work Total Rewards Association, and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA).
