Update on OHP Operations
Due to the State of Emergency declared for Dallas County, the Office of Historic Preservation is closed to visitors. Staff is working remotely, and we are still available to assist you!
Please utilize the following resources instead of visiting our office:
- Email is the fastest way to reach us. Visit our Staff Contacts page for email addresses of individual staff members. OHP staff are monitoring our inboxes and will respond.
- Submit your Certificate of Appropriateness application via email to the staff member in charge of your district. Visit our website to download an application and checklist, and make sure to follow the instructions. Your application will be reviewed for completeness once submitted. You may also find it helpful to read our tips for submitting your CA application and list of Frequently Asked Questions.
- Call our main line at 214-670-4209. You will be instructed on how to contact the appropriate staff person.
***REMEMBER: You are still required to obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness before work can be performed on your property***
