Gilliam House

The 1923 Craftsman style Gilliam House is also known as the Fuqua House after the carpenter who built the home. In 1976, William and Kathlyn Gilliam purchased the home. Mrs. Gilliam was president of the Dallas City Council of Colored Parents and Teachers Association (the segregated PTA) in the early 1960s and fought for equality and desegregation of the Dallas School system.
