Ross Avenue Baptist Church

5201 Ross Avenue

Constructed in 1917, the Ross Avenue Baptist Church was an exemplary example of a Neoclassical building of the early twentieth century. Character defining features of this style include the large pedimented portico facing Ross Avenue, Ionic columns with pilasters behind, large window openings, flat roof with metal dome.

The building was severely damaged in a fire and was demolished in 2004.
