St. James AME Church 

624 N. Good Latimer Expressway



​​St. James AME Church building was constructed in 1919-1921 in Neoclassical style. It was designed by African-American architect William Sydney Pittman and constructed entirely by African American contractors, workers, and electricians. It housed the St. James congregation for sixty-four years.
