The Minor Commercial Q-Team was created to expand customer options for faster permitting times through an expedited, fee-based program. By partnering City staff with applicants, the program is designed to issue permits on the same day the permit is submitted and reviewed by staff. This process is available to any registered contractor, property owner, architect, or engineer.
A minimum plan review fee of $1,000.00 per hour with a maximum of $2,000.00 will be assessed to the base permitting fees. A non-refundable fee of $500.00 for the initial completeness review is required at the time of application submittal.
Qualifying projects must meet the following criteria:
- All occupancy uses and classifications are accepted
- 10,000 square feet or less including any proposed expansions
- Interior finish outs, renovations, or expansions must be located within the existing building footprint
The program is not intended for new construction, exterior building modifications/renovations, additions to existing building footprint or building height, or sitework projects.
Appointments will be scheduled at least five (5) days in advance and can be held Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
