Scope and Content
Collection consists of one printed brochure (2 copies) showing the results of a survey of 44,000 businesses in Dallas, Texas. The survey was conducted in October 1987 and 7,400 surveys were returned (17% return rate), tabulated, and sorted. This project was a part of an extensive business expansion and retention program aimed at businesses within the city of Dallas.
This confidential business retention survey was a key element of this program. The purpose of the survey was to identify businesses planning to expand or move, to assess the level of services being provided to businesses, to identify site-specific problems, and to market City and other services. Included in the collection is a summary of statistics compiled from the survey as well as a news release related to the survey results.
