Scope and Content

Four volumes of signed oaths of Dallas citizens appointed to boards and commissions of the City of Dallas.  The volumes document citizens' written agreements to conduct themselves in an ethical manner while serving the city.  The collection has primarily intrinsic value by virtue of the signatures on the forms, and the volumes contain the signatures of numerous civic leaders and future elected officials of the City of Dallas.
