Scope and Content
Collection contains City Council candidate orientation materials produced by the Office of the City Manager.
The City of Dallas often conducts candidate orientations to help prepare City Council candidates for public office. The orientation usually consists of an overview of city government. The document was created to help prepare potential winners of the November 5, 1991, election. Included in the collection is a city organizational chart, a review of the city charter, as well as an overview of various city departments including the City Auditor, Health and Human Services, Fire, Police, and the Judiciary.
