Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a bound report on the issues, challenges, and goals facing the City of Dallas Department of Street and Sanitation Services in the late 1980s.
Originally part of the Public Works Department, the Department of Street and Sanitation Services was created in 1972. The department was assigned the responsibilities of collecting and disposing of municipal solid waste, and the maintaining and cleaning of drainage facilities, streets, and rights-of-way.
