​Scope and Content

Collection contains not only original, signed resolutions and reports on street improvements under the purview of Streets and Public Property Commissioner William Doran.  The contents of the ledger are composed of resolutions, bonds, resident details, and improvement specifications, all of which were managed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Dallas.  

Streets improved were the unpaved portions of Forest Avenue from Gould to the Houston and Texas Central Railroad, Main Street from Ervay to Market, and Exposition Avenue from Main to Parry.

Organization

The contents are foldered alphabetically, and the ledger is unfoldered.

Permission to publish, reproduce, distribute, or use by any and all other current or future methods or procedures must be obtained in writing from the Dallas Municipal Archives.  All rights are reserved and retained regardless of current or future development or laws that may apply to fair use standards.
