Scope and Content

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and improving public infrastructure and public properties.  Dallas Public Works programs and projects include

•  Roads, Bridges, and Highways
•  Public Works Commissions
•  Dallas Public Utilities
•  Reporting Public Works problems
•  Public Works jobs and employment
•  Fleet maintenance and engineering services

Public Works maintains more than 11,700 lane miles of streets, 1400 miles of alleys, 4536 miles of sidewalks, and more than 600 bridges for the City of Dallas.

The collection is organized chronologically.
