Scope and Content

Collection consists of paper and photographic materials documenting City of Dallas Historic Preservation programs, particularly files created for City of Dallas historic landmark designations for historically relevant architecture in Dallas, Texas.

The Historic Preservation Office provides services related to historic districts, historic structures, and potential historic districts and structures.  These services include Landmark (historic) Designation, Certificates of Appropriateness (approval forms for work on landmark structures), and administering tax incentive programs within Historic Districts and on individual Historic Structures.

The collection is organized alphabetically.
