Scope and Content
Collection documents agreements between the Barber Asphalt Paving Company, the City of Dallas, and the Dallas Consolidated Electric Railway Company to pave areas between the rails and tracks of the railway lines on various streets in the City of Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Consolidated Electric Railway Company was incorporated in 1887 and merged four companies into one in 1902. It, in turn, merged with four companies in 1917 and became the Dallas Railway Company.
The documents in this collection are copies placed by the Barber Asphalt Paving Company for public inspection in the City Secretary's Office.
