On May 16, 2016, a neighborhood committee (10 property owners) submitted a request for pre-application meetings to begin the process of potentially amending regulations in the Stevens Park Conservation District (CD No. 20).

Sustainable Development & Construction Department held two pre-application meetings on July 11, 2016, and September 12, 2016, to inform property owners of the process, discuss issues with the current CD ordinance, and establish a list of development standards the neighborhood would consider amending.

Following the two pre-application meetings, staff provided the neighborhood committee with petitions containing language about the development standards the neighborhood would like to potentially amend. The neighborhood committee was tasked with gathering signed petitions of at least 58% of property owners in the Stevens Park CD to start an application to potentially amend the CD.  Petition

Staff received petitions on December 18, 2017, and verified petitions met the criteria for bringing forward a complete application.

A series of neighborhood meetings will be held to discuss potentially amending development standards as listed on the petitions to gain consensus on revisions (if any).

On July 19, 2018, the City Plan Commission (CPC) recommended approval of the amendments to CD No. 20, the Stevens Park Conservation District. 

On August 22, 2018, the City Council approved the CPC recommended amendments to CD No. 20, the Stevens Park Conservation District (Z178-113).
