The DAS Rescue Team works with local, regional and national animal welfare organizations to provide responsible placement for the shelter's most vulnerable animals. We continually work to grow our wide-ranging network of partners, including dog and cat rescues, small animal and livestock sanctuaries, and wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Become a Transfer Partner
DAS supports our transfer partners by providing animals with age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and microchips before they are pulled at no financial expense. We even provide free heartworm treatment for eligible dogs once they've entered your program!
When you become an approved transfer partner, you join DAS’ collaborative community of lifesavers who are focused on rescuing with a purpose. You will have access to our exclusive transfer partner Facebook page; receive our monthly DAS Bark Post newsletter; participate in quarterly transfer partner meetings (in person or over Facebook Live); be eligible for private shelter tours; and participate in other exclusive transfer program initiatives.
We welcome 501c3 animal welfare organizations to apply to join our lifesaving efforts. Before you begin the process, we recommend you read our Rescue Handbook. We also invite you to visit the shelter to meet our dedicated Rescue Team and tour the facility.
