Scope and Content

Collection documents plaques placed on statues and memorials situated in Dallas city parks. About 1979, Dallas Park and Recreation Department staff created photographic documentation of the plaques. Typescript transcriptions of plaque text are included, as well as an index by location, donor, sculpture title, and historical marker. Collection includes one folder of Park Department correspondence and memoranda regarding specific pieces and donors.
