​Fees for collection of oversize or non-compliant brush and/or bulky waste collections are established by the Dallas City Code Section 18-4.  Customers wishing to dispute a collection charge may submit a Sanitation Billing Dispute service request online by clicking here, or by calling 3-1-1 from within the city of Dallas, or by calling 214-670-3111 outside of the city.

Valid reasons for reducing or reversing collection fees include (but are not limited to): incorrect customer account billed, materials not collected, and customer overcharged for volume of material setout.  Invalid reasons for reducing or reversing collection fees include (but are not limited to): customer unaware of set out regulations, limits and fees.

A Sanitation district manager will review documentation of the collection, and make a determination to uphold, reduce, or reverse the collection fee.  Residents may appeal the determination by submitting a follow-up Sanitation Billing Dispute service request.  A second review will be made by an assistant director or their designee.
